Welcome to A Week with us….A weekly update and insight to a week in the lives of our family of 7.
This week myself and my family were featured in the Daily Mail…Check out the article HERE
I’m absolutely loving the article. The photo is the only one that isn’t ‘perfect’. Which, is absolutely fine. We all know that family life isn’t perfect. And I can tell you, it was a nightmare trying to get all 5 of my boys to cooperate, so i’m pretty damn happy with the end result!
I can’t believe this week was the last week of the school year! It seems to have flown over!
Caelan finished his first year of school. I am so proud of him. He has grown from a quiet and timid little boy, to a confident and intelligent little boy. Caelan’s reception call did a ‘leaving’ assembly. It was amazing! All of the kiddies sang loud and proud as well as reflected on their year in reception.
Also this week Cameron got his braces fitted and Caelan had an appointment regarding sedation to have 4 teeth removed due to his condition. That’s all we seem to do lately, visit dentists.
Friday marked 3 years since we opened Little Rock’s Stars Childcare! What a 3 years it’s been! Getting a GOOD on our first OFSTED inspection. Taking the plunge and making the choice to leave my job in a bank to become a childminder was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself and my family. Giving kiddies a happy and secure home from home environment to learn, stay and have fun while their parents go out to work. It’s an absolute honour to be a positive part of their little lives.

We have had a pretty quiet weekend as Mckenzie struggles with the transition from school to school holidays and visa versa. We did have days out planned, but over stimulating him seriously isn’t worth the impact on himself or ourselves. Our boys were happy to stay at home and go in the hot tub. So if they’re happy, i’m happy.
On Saturday, I had an appointment to get contact lenses. I have to admit, I’m trying to adjust to seeing myself without glasses. I’m finding it hard, but i’m sure i’ll get used to it.
Sunday marked mine and Matthew’s 7th wedding anniversary. We both had a giggle as we both thought that it was our anniversary on Monday. It was only when Matthew checked is Facebook memories that he told me it was our anniversary. We are as bad as each other! Good thing I don’t expect gifts etc!
With having two celebrations we treated ourselves to some champagne, but we’ve not opened it yet! We really need to sort it out!
We have taken the next week of work to have some much needed family time and downtime.
Thanks for reading and I hope you come back for another WEEK WITH US
