A Week With Us 9th July 2018-15th July 2018

Welcome to A Week with us….A weekly update and insight to a week in the lives of our family of 7.

I honestly don’t know where this last week has gone. I really don’t have enough hours in the day to do what I want and need!

This week we introduced a family jobs rota to our boys. Little chores that we all get allocated daily. Things such as washing up, hoovering, tidy garden, put out recycling etc. To my surprise my boys have loved it! Wonder how much longer it will last?

McKenzie’s class teddy, Rex came home with him. Now if you’re a Mum of a child already in nursery or school, you will understand my frustration of the class teddy coming home! I compare it to having been given another child come to live with you for a few days. You have to remember to take it everywhere, took  it into bed, pretend to feed it. And then write about it in the teddies diary.

Honestly, as if I don’t have enough to do and contend with!

So we ended up taking Rex to one of larger parks in our town. Where four of my boys took their bikes and scooters. We had a scoot around the grounds, visited the skate park and the play parks.

Also this week i’ve had a lot of chasing up on appointments for my boys. Does anyone find that professionals have very poor communication skills? ‘Oh  yes Mrs Rocks, we will call you next week to discuss x,y,z’ 2 weeks pass and nothing, leaving me to chase things up. It’s a good thing i’m hot on these things. It’s only because I want the best for my boys. I find schools and NHS are the worst! But thats a rant for another day.

A Week With Us 9th-15th July 2018

To be honest, I haven’t been feeling fantastic this week. I’ve been feeling more tired  than usual. I think maybe I need to start with Floradix again. If you haven’t tried it, it’s a godsend for fatigue and womens health.

Matthew and I went back to the gym too. I’m not looking to lose weight, even though I should but i’m actually learning to love my curves. It’s more about feeling better about myself and my health.

There must be something in the water this week, Caelan and Cohen have been, shall we say ‘little monkeys’ (and that’s me being nice) They’ve played up, not slept very well, just being darn right cheeky little ‘beeps’!

Harvey has struggled at school this week, I am adamant that he has Inattentive ADHD. I’ve always said it! I’m struggling to get any professionals to see past the behaviour side of things and see what I see.

Cameron had 2 teeth taken out ready for his braces to be fitted next week. I honest don’t know how he could get the injection and sit there, letting him get his teeth out! I felt woozy just looking at the teeth after they came out.

We’ve  had a pretty quiet weekend.

I spent Saturday doing childminding paperwork….All day. I seriously wasn’t impressed.

Today I went and did the shopping with Cameron and decided to take a look at some hot tubs. Well, I went home told Matthew about them, and now we have a Lay-Z-Spa Hot Tub warming up in our garden! My boys are beyond excited.

I’m sure life will slow down at some point…maybe?!

Thanks for reading and I hope you come back for another WEEK WITH US

This time of year I always seem to be chasing my tail. Totally agree with you about communication of appointments too, real bug bear of mine! Thank you for sharing with #Blogstravaganza – hope you enjoy your hot tub! 🙂
