It’s time for the kids to go back to school. Mums all over the world, will be searching and Googling ‘Healthy Packed Lunch Box Ideas’ for their kids. We all mean well. We want the best and most nutritious and healthy packed lunch box ideas that our children will actually eat!
If I am totally honest, I often find myself falling back into the same tired pattern when I’m in a hurry in the mornings – throwing together a plain ham sandwich, piece of fruit, and a cereal bar and packet of crisps. I do this because I know my children are guaranteed to eat it ALL!
Can anyone relate?
I wanted to offer a wider variety of fresh whole foods to the kids’ packed lunch box, but I also knew it would be important to keep it simple or I’m not going to stick with it. I mean I currently have 4 kids in school, all with different likes and dislikes.
So this is the system I came up with.
Basically, it’s mix-and-match. Below this post, you will find a FREE printable with four healthy packed lunch box categories: sandwich fillings, sandwich alternatives, fruits and veg and snacks.
So each day myself and my kids choose something from each category. There are endless possible combinations to keep things fresh and interesting. But importantly, foods they love and will eat!

Here are some great packed lunch box containers I found on Amazon (because I know us mums love a bargain)
