Little Cook Box Review…Healthy Meals With Less Waste…With Discount Code

I don’t know about you but I like to plan healthy variety into our family meals. Promoting healthy food choices. Try something different every now and again. You know, instead of the standard chicken nuggets, chips and beans. I know my kids aren’t the only ones that would live of this, if I let them!

I love to get my kids involved in the kitchen, when I can. Giving them little jobs to help prepare meals. It gives them a sense of independence and of course, those important life lessons they are going to need in the future.

But one thing I really detest is spending ages cooking meals, then having loads of

Food Wastage!

I always find that after some meals we have lots of food wastage, which I personally see as throwing money in the bin! It annoys the living daylights out of me.

Did you know that wasting food costs the average UK family household £700 per year! Just think what £700 could buy your family…a short break, new clothes, days out?!

food wastage

So when I was contacted by Little Cook Box and asked to try and review their products, I jumped at the chance!

Little Cook Box states that they

‘Banish busy to the bin tonight. Put fun on the menu. And get cooking with the kids!’

What’s the verdict on Little Cook Box?

We, as a family loved Little Cook Box! My boys really enjoyed getting involved Learning and talking about food and healthy food choices as we made the meals together. And surprisingly, even my fussy eaters ate every single last bit of their meals! I think them having involvement really helped.

Having in mind, this isn’t something we as a family could do every night due to being a busy Mum of 5 and a childminder. But it is definitely something we could do on a weekly basis for a weekend lunch or evening meal!

As a Mum, I am loving the fact that I can involve my children in a life lesson activity, the meals are varied and nutritious. Also, that there is next to no food wastage and the majority of the packaging can be recycled.

I love cooking with kids. I think this is such a great idea that the kids can do it be themselves. I like the idea that the kids can claim the boxes as their own. 4 meal kits for under £10 sound like a great deal too! 🙂
