Mummy On A Mission – Meet My Stylist – Mummy Style

As a child and teen I loved nothing more but to go clothes shopping with my Mum. As I got older and had children, my little fashionista-self disappeared.

Recently, I felt like I was stuck in a Mummy style rut.

Being a Mum of 5, i’d  put myself at the bottom of the pecking order. I was always buying my boys and husband new clothes, but I was neglecting myself.

I was wearing my the same style of clothes all the time…for me it was black leggings. Black leggings were my comfort and safety zone go to clothing.

I put out a tweet on Twitter asking for recommendations for a stylist. Vicki from HONEST MUM recommended LAUREN JOBLING STYLING

I recently had an Online Style Consultation with the lovely Lauren Jobling at LAUREN JOBLING STYLING

From being able to see my in natural light, Lauren did my colours, to determine the colours I suit.

From doing doing this I found out that I have a Winter Profile , which include colours such as

  • Black
  • Icy Blue
  • Hot Pink
  • Yellow
  • Ice Grey

Lauren established that I have an Hourglass figure and advised me on the types of clothes that would suit my body shape.

After the Online Style Consultation, Lauren sent me a very informative Style Pack, which included my colours, information on my body shape, links to products. As well as Casual and Weekend/Date night outfit ideas.

Lauren Jobling has worked miracles for my confidence and self acceptance just by recommending clothes, colours and styles to suit my body shape, skin and hair colouring. I have found my love for clothes again.

I seriously recommend checking out LAUREN JOBLING STYLING SERVICES

I feel ya with the comment about being on the bottom of the pecking order. My son has fancy everything and I’m lucky if my clothes don’t have holes. Hahaha!

The online consultation sounds like a great idea! I won a face-to-face session with a stylist once and it did really give me a lift. #fortheloveofBLOG xx

I think budget comes into this more than anything else, I’d be wearing dresses everyday, if I could afford to buy enough dresses to wear everyday lol

I think I have a good idea as to what suits me but it would be great to get a professional opinion, this sounds fab! Thanks for sharing with #TriumphantTales!

Sometimes it is nice to something that takes us away from our comfort zone. It good to take time out and explore fashion to make you feel good X

I think us mums all get stuck in a rut when it comes to fashion and focus all our attention on our kids. I know my two definitely have better wardrobes than me! My rut seems to be skinny jeans and hoodies.
Thank you for joining the #FamilyFunLinky x
