We were asked to review Madame Tussauds in Blackpool. So we thought, lets stay over and make a weekend out of it.
Fortunately, Blackpool is only 2 hours away from us, so travelling there isn’t a big deal.
Setting off on a Saturday morning, we travelled over the Lakes to Blackpool. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best and it was pouring, and I mean pouring down with rain.
Getting into Blackpool, we parked the car at our hotel. Which I had booked ourselves and will earn commission back on…ask me how!
In the pouring rain, we made our way up the Promenade to Madam Tussauds where we had an absolutely amazing time.

Grabbing a Pint in the replica Rover’s Return, Being able to interact with my boy’s idols in the MARVEL SUPER HEROES area, rubbing shoulders with the world-renowned sporting heroes in the Sporting Heroes Academy and becoming the doctors assistant in the Doctor Who area.
Upon leaving Madame Tussauds we grabbed some fish and chips, I mean come on, it’s a must at any visit to the seaside.

We headed to our hotel to check in.
Spending the rest of the evening in our hotel due to the weather. Plus our boys were tired and overwhelmed by the day. It was best for everyone to get a good nights sleep.

The next morning, with the shining and after a full english breakfast we were ready to take in the some of the sights of Blackpool.
The first place my boys wanted to go was the beach.
I can’t express how beautiful it was to watch my boys running free, in the sun on an empty beach! Standing back admiring the view of Blackpool.
Walking along the beach towards the Central Pier we spotted some donkey rides. So obviously, my boys had to have a go!

With only a couple of hours to spare, we went up onto Central Pier and spent a small fortune on the funfair and carnival stalls.
It was priceless to see my boys faces light up!
With only an hour before our ticket on the car was up, we walked back down the Promenade, grabbed some more fish and chips, ice cream and rock!
I mean come on, it’s the law when you go to the seaside.
Over all we had a fantastic time, and we will be back later in the Summer to see what else Blackpool has to offer!
We have just returned from a short break with our six year old nephew who really enjoyed himself playing on the Blackpool beach. The beach is clean and there are toilets nearby. Thank you for sharing.
