It doesn’t matter whether you have a good career ahead of you or whether you are just entering your 20’s and you feel as though you have found the one because making the decision to have a child really is one of the hardest decisions that you are ever going to make. You will need to trade nights out for disturbed sleep and you may even take a hit to your salary as well. Of course, this can all sound a bit daunting, but if you think you’re ready for a baby then this guide will certainly help you to know for sure.

You may not have noticed it before, but the world seems to be occupied by pregnant women or cute babies. Sometimes you may feel as though all of your favourite celebrities are falling pregnant, or that they’re always on TV. If you have noticed this now, then this could indicate that it is time for you to have kids because after all, nothing has changed, you were just too busy with your life to notice.
Owning a cat or even a dog might not be high on your priority list, but when you cuddle your friends’ dog, you may feel as though the rush of love just makes you want one of your own. The rush of love could be disguising your desire to have kids. It is very natural for a couple to buy a pet first so that they can see how they are able to cope before taking things to that next level.
Night Out or In?
You may feel as though going out with your friends to the club was once the best way for you to spend a Saturday night, but if you feel as though settling down on the sofa with a good movie sounds good enough, then this can be another sign that you are ready to have kids. After all, your nesting instinct will be kicking in, you will have a home that you love and you will be at your happiest there, so it makes sense to add another person to your party.
Cute Baby Clothes
You might never have felt the need to wander into the baby section of a department store before, but if you suddenly find yourself cooing over fluffy all-in-ones or little dresses then this would indicate that you are ready. You might not have any other family members to buy for either, but if you just feel as though you are being dragged in that direction then this means that you are ready to take that next step.
Make Sure you’re Both Ready
Of course, the decision to have a baby should be mutual and you should both be as excited. It’s important that you talk to your partner to make sure that they are as up for it as you are, and that they are willing to support you every step of the way with your joint adventure. If you are not sure if you can have kids then IVF is always an option.
