So, I have a few people ask me ‘Why I Decided To Start Blogging’.
Over the years I have been through some amount of, shall we call it, ‘unfortunate circumstances’. From depression, eating disorders, being a single mum, being a victim of domestic violence and losing my Mum.
I don’t want to tell you too about my life experiences right now, as I will no doubt write about it all in my blog. My personal stories will be in the THIS IS MY STORY category.
By rights, I shouldn’t be here. But I am!
Turning the negatives experiences and life lessons around and into positives.
I am passionate about sharing my life journey in the hope that I will empower, inspire and motivate others.
I believe that life is for living, exploring, and simply doing those things however big or small that make you happy, make you feel alive and make you thrive.
Another reason Why I Decide To Start Blogging is because there is nothing more I love than to help and support others.
Being a parent is one of the best things to ever happen to me. But I know fine well that being a parent isn’t all rainbows and unicorns. Being a parent can have a dark and ugly side to it. It can be lonely, stressful and a massive responsibility.
Being a Mummy for nearly 16 years now and being blessed with 5 handsome sons. I’ve definitely had my fair share of parenting experience.
No one tells you what you are truly signing up for when you’re expecting a baby. Everyone focuses on and fantasises about the gorgeous, sweet smelling little babies, who we dream will sleep all night, never cry and just be a little delight.
Aye, right! It’s a con!
No one tells you about the explosive nappies, sleepless nights, the terrible twos, the ‘three-nager’ years, applying for schools, how to cope with friendships, hormones etc…
Well, through This Mummy Rocks, I am wanting to pass on my knowledge and experiences. In hope that I can inspire others that they can overcome any hurdle that life throws at them, even if the odds are against them. Whether it be parenting, health related, work, heartache, life stresses, absolutely anything.
All it takes is the will to never give up, positive mindset and the will to overcome to achieve, grow as a person, get out of that comfort zone and be extraordinary!
I am going to be as open and honest as I can. I want this to be real. For you to see the real me and show you who I truly am. To give you an insight into our family life. Showing you our ‘normal’. – Whatever normal is!
Throughout life there may be times of absolute excitement to times of emotion as life is a rollercoaster. Without the low times you never truly appreciate the positives or strive for the outstanding, unforgettable times.
It’s those times that show you what you are made of. They show you how strong you can be and can lead you down the most unexpected but incredible path so be thankful for the struggle for they are the ones that make you do things in life.
I am a woman on a mission!

Thank you Briony xx
These are great reasons to start a blog. I think it’s a lovely way to connect with others. Thank you for sharing with #Blogstravaganza 🙂
Many of these reasons are the same for me. I wanted to find my voice again as well as support others who have found parenting a bit of a shock! #bloggersbest
This is why I started blogging too – having felt so many times that I was “floundering” as a mum, I longed to have someone come alongside me and support me. I started to find that in blogs and then realised that maybe I could do this for other people! #blogcrush
So glad you did too. Your blog is brilliant and in sharing our experiences, we help others. I’m sorry for all you’ve been through and so glad your blog bring you and others so much joy. I started my blog during a dark time when I was suffering a traumatic birth and it helped me hugely, and continues to x
